Annapurna region is famous for trekking not only in Nepal but in the world, located in northwest of Nepal. Mt Annapurna south (8091m) eighth highest peak of the world, firstly climbed by the French lies here. It offers the panoramic view of mountain peaks, dens, forests, lakes, glaciers, rivers, caves, and terraces. The Annapurna circuit trek takes the visitors right around the Annapurna range giving them on experience of lifetime. Four favourite treks, ranging from one week to three weeks to Kali Gandaki basin include Manang region, Annapurna range, Jomson and Annapurna Sanctuary. Ghandruk, Landruk, PoonHill offers the majestic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagir, Fishtail and many other snow covered peaks. The Machapuchre base camp can be reached in 3-4 days from Ghandruk and Annapurna base camp in 6-7 days. Tilicho lake (4949m) situated in the highest altitude on the world lies here. Gurung, Thakali, Bhote, Magar, Brahmin, Kshertri are the major ethnic group around here. One can reach upper mustang via Kagbeni or towards the Muktinath temple, the Hindu pilgrimage site at the height of almost 4000 m.
