Seasons for trekking in Nepal are divided into spring, early summer, summer monsoon, early autumn, Late Autumn and winter. Nepal can be visited the whole year round. The world heritage sites of Nepal are Chitwan National park, Sagarmatha National park, Lumbini, Changu Narayan, Kathmandu Durbar square, Patan Durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath. There are 16 protected areas covering 9 national park, 3 wildlife reserves, 3 conservation areas and 1 hunting reserve. Nepal is rich in biodiversity and posses 2. 80% flowering plants, 3. 96% mammals, 3. 72 % of butterflies, 8. 90% birds. Nepal is known as the second largest country after Brazil for water resources potential. There are 6000 river in Nepal which is snow fed or dependant on rain. Few rafting rivers in the world can match the thundering course of the rivers of Nepal.
