Trip Introduction
Tiji also known as Teenji is a festival which is celebrated for 3 days at Upper Mustang of Nepal – the forbidden kingdom. The festival is celebrated at the end of dry season (usually in May month of annual calendar). The word Tiji is derived from a word “Ten Che” which means “hope of the dharma prevailing in all worlds”. Accordance of mythology, this is a celebration of great victory of Buddha’s incarnation against most harmful demon who used to make trouble on the local people’s living by making massive shortage of water in the dry land. Similarly, the trek offers exploration of Lo Manthang with its amazing landscapes, thousands of mysterious caves and monuments, splendid views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, explore Tibetan cultural villages etc.

An organized Upper Mustang with Tiji (Teeji) Festival 2018 Treks with Tourist Link Treks and Expedition (P) Ltd begins after enjoying a day stay in Kathmandu with sightseeing tour and all essential arrangements that requires for trekking adventure. Leaving Kathmandu, we will take a day scenic drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is an entrance for this Upper Mustang Tiji (Teeji) festival trekking. From Pokhara we will have a scenic flight to Jomsom to reach our exact trekking starting point, having tantalizing view of Mt. Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri and many other snowcapped ranges while in an adventurous flight. We start our trekking gradually towards Lo-manthang by following world’s deepest Kali Gandaki gorge, amazingly diverse landscapes, several Tibetan villages, splendid views of mountains; explore Buddhist monasteries, chhortens, gompas etc along the route. After accomplishing the exploration and observation of a three days Tiji festival which will be performed gradually process wise with different activities in 3 separate days, our adventurous and cultural journey gradually returns via one of the popular holy temple at Muktinath, back to Jomsom and fly back to Pokhara then drive back to Kathmandu.

25th April 2018: Arrival in Kathmandu(1345m)
Upon landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by representative from ‘Tourist Link Treks & Expedition’ who will then convey you through the vibrant streets in Kathmandu to the hotel where you will receive a brief explanation regarding your trekking package. You will spend the pleasant night in the comfy bed.  

26th April 2018: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley:
Taking light breakfast early in the morning, our guide will then take you for a pleasant day tour inside Kathmandu which encompasses the UNESCO enlisted holiest shrine of Shiva at Pashupatinath Temple Complex, the Bouddhanath Stupa which is the largest Stupa existing inside Kathmandu, Swayambhunath Temple aka Monkey Temple which is the oldest Stupa inside Kathmandu which dates almost 2oooyrs back and the Kathmandu Durbar Square which is yet another UNESCO enlisted historical site where you will get chance to view the abode of Living Goddess- Kumari, Kasthamandap Temple, Kal Bhairab and many more.
 
27th April 2018: Drive to Pokhara(900m)
 25-minute of pleasant flight from the Domestic Airport of Kathmandu with scenic views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Langtang Himalayan range will be able to take us to Pokhara.
Alternatively, we can choose 5hour of enchanting drive through the meandering road along the Prithvi Highway which will eventually takes us to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara. The route will be full of natural grandeurs like Trishuli River, rice terraces and numerous peaks at the background.

28th April 2018: Fly Pokhara to Jomsom Trek to Kagbeni(2800m)
It takes 20minutes of pleasant flight over mountains to arrive at the Airport in Jomsom. We will be enjoying the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains from the comfortable seats of plane. Landing at Jomsom which is the district Headquarter and the hub of Mustang Region, we will begin our trekking by walking along Kali Gandaki River to village at Kagbeni which is the gateway for Upper Mustang.

29th April 2018: Trek to Chele(3050m)
Walking along the eastern bank of Kaligandaki River, we will follow the upward trail to Tangbe Village. Making our way through the narrow alleys between the homes, we will arrive at the fields of buckwheat and apples which we will cross to reach to Chhusang Village. Later we will cross the Kaligandaki River over suspension bridge to make it to Chele Village which is located at the top of the ridge.

30th April 2018: Trek to Ghiling(3570m)
Early in the morning around 7:00am get a breakfast and trek to the Ghiling. We do evening sightseeing which is 800 hundred oldest monasteries.
 
01th May 2018: Trek to Charang(3560m)
Another day, our planning to go Charang. The trail totally different this day. You can see grey and red cliffs across the valley as well as the most spectacular mani walls in Nepal. When the wall is finished the trail heads east of the village of charang with corn of land. At the eastern end of the village, are big Dzong and red Gompa where you can see statues and Thankas.  

02nd May 2018: Trek to Lo-Manthang(3810m)
After get breakfast in the morning, our Trekking again start, we will crosses the Tsarang Chu after we will get Tholung Village and windy pass of Lo which is 3,850 m above the sea level, the continue a head you can see Lo- Manthang Valley which is views of the walled city near magnificent of hills on the Tibetan Border. we crosses the Tsarang Chu after you can get plateau of Lo- Manthang. 


03rd May 2018: First day of Tiji Festival

06th May 2018: Trek to Thakmar (3820m)
Lo-Manthang is the farthest point of our trek. So, on 10th day, we will be making a return trip. We will choose a different path that moves forward through Dramkar. Enroute, we will visit the Ancient Gyokar Gompa which is rich in paintings that is popular among locals as the wish fulfilling Gompa. Climbing the ridge, we will have a gentle descent from where we will continue walking to Dramkar.

07th May 2018: Trek to Syanboche(3800m)
Almost finished festival’s trip so you will return journey follows different trails and we lets you explore another part of village. Some time you explore the monastery in Nepal, Tibet as well as the oldest Buddhist Gompa and continue down the valley Syanboche.  

08th May 2018: Trek to Chhusang (2980m)
The trek on 12th day begins early in the morning as we take the easy trail that lowers down from the hill to Chhuksang. It takes about 6hours of walking to arrive at Chhuksang which offers the pleasant views of surrounding mountains and landscapes. We will be staying overnight at Chhuksang.

09th May 2018: Trek to Muktinath (3760m)
Continuing through the trail that prolongs along the southern border of Mustang region, we will head to Kagbeni. Walking past Kagbeni, the trail prolongs through the bank of Kali Gandaki River all the way to Jomsom.

10th May 2018: Trek to Jomsom (2800m)
This is small trek arround 3 hours walk from Muktinath, it is continue down and the riverbed to Jomsom.

11th May 2018: Fly to Pokhara 
20minutes of an early morning flight with views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains will take us to Pokhara. We will spend the spare time exploring the enchanting Lake city of Pokhara whereby we will be visiting Phewa Lake, Seti Gorge, David Fall, KI Singh Bridge, Mahendra Cave and International Mountaineering Museum prior to returning back to the hotel where we will be staying overnight. 
       
12th May 2018: Drive to Kathmandu 
5hours of scenic drive through the serpentine roads along Prithvi Highway with exotic views of Trishuli River, paddy fields, terraces and hills will lead us back to Kathmandu where we will be staying in a hotel. Dinner will be served in the evening to celebrate the successful ‘Upper MustangTrek.’ 
Alterntively, 25minutes of pleasant flight can be chosen from Pokhara Airport to arrive at Domestic Airport of Kathmandu.

13th May 2018: Leisure day in Kathmandu 
 
14th May 2018: Final Departure 
The wonderful 16days Tiji Festival 2017 comes to an end on this day as you will be transferred back to Tribhuvan International airport by our representative. We are happy to serve you and we will be looking forward for your next visit.

You should satisfy that your cold weather clothing will keep you comfortable down to – 20 degree Celsius. Most of the items mentioned above can easily & cheaply be hired either in Kathmandu or in Pokhara (if you are travelling to the Annapurna Region). Similarly Namche Bazaar has also alike options.

Having spent 7 days with tourist link treks, I can honestly say that it was one of the most enjoyable, memorable life experiences I have ever had. It was my second time in Nepal and decided to go on a trekking/ jungle safari expedition. Wild is not the world. Although at times it was difficult and exhausting, I have n regrets in making the decision.
Last time I used tourist link treks services I took a tour around Tibet, which was out of this world. The service of the tour guides and their expertise knowledge of the areas we covered was amazing, and the team of people I was with was equally as great. Which is why I decided to use tourist link trek again for my next Nepalise adventure.
Since I had such a fun time on the last trip I decided to stick to trekking, and I’d heard from a friend of mine that the jungle safari was something that I would have really enjoyed. And they certainly were not wrong! I enjoyed every minute of it, and got some of the most amazing pictures I have ever taken. We rode on elephants for the duration of the time and came across wild like left right and center. Never have I been so close to these wild beings without there being some kind of cage, but being on top of an elephant I guess is the next safest thing lol..
So the safari was followed up AFTER the 25 days of trekking in Kanchenchunga, which as you can imagine was very tiring, but certainly enjoyable. The fresh air there was so nice, but my feet certainly payed the price. I had unfortunately acquired some rather large blisters on my right foot but carried on non the less. But let’s just say that I was relieved to spend the last part of the trip riding around on the back of an elephant lol..
All in all though I wouldn’t trade the experience I had with the team for anything! The people, the weather, the scenery was just simply amazing, and I feel that there are many more fun filled adventures to have with tourist link treks in the coming years, and I can’t wait!

Having always fantasized about visiting Tibet, I decided recently to make my wish a reality. Having visited Nepal before and done some different treks with different trekking companies, I stumbled across Tourist Link Treks & Expedition (P.) LTD. A friend of mine had recommended them as being the cheapest most reliable tour company out of many others, and since I valued his judgment greatly I decided to give them a shot. Well, I certainly was not disappointed to say the least. I couldn’t believe the quote I got from them with everything included. It was nearly half the price! Of what I’d plan to budget for. At first the offer sounded abit too good to be true, but going with my gut instincts, my friends advise and the warm friendly reception I was greeted with other the phone with them, I decided to go for it. The tour consisted of a direct flight to the neighboring mountains, and a trek around the peaks of the Tibetan peaks. I knew I was amongst one of the wonders of the world where I was and had my camera on stand by to capture some of the most breath taking shots I have ever taken. There where moments where time just seemed to stand still, where the wild life seemed so in balance with its surroundings that we appeared to blend into their eco system. No fear, no negative vibes, just being, for as far as the eye could reach. A translucent depiction of what life is supposed to be like, or how it once was. Something was telling me, ‘this is how its supposed to be’
When your amongst such beauty, caught in a realm of timelessness, it is easy to get lost in what it is your doing. And when the hand on my shoulder was softly felt by the guide, it was back to reality I stumbled to.

I did EBC kala pather, Gokyo, Gokyo RI good food good accommodation.   Learnt so much about the mountains, climbing the mountains, treated like a king. My hasband and i am from Germany , we booked the poonhill trek with Tourist Link Treks . Our guide Elmi was really great , he told us lot of about Nepali culture , the life in the hills and about the Flora and Fanna . He cared a lot about us and always went into the Kitchens in the tea houses where we stoped to eat and drink to check whether everthing  was clean and well prepared .
Compared to the other guide , Elmi was really well prepared and equipment after the 4th day . I went sick and Elmi gave me medicine and managed to shorten our trip . He even carried my backpack when i was very weak . All we were very satisfied with our guide and the trek . The view from poonhill was amazing , Elmi explaned all the Mountain we could see . so it was a great pleasure and a very good choice

We , two girls of arround 25 from the Netherlands , booked the Langtang Trek with Tourist Link Trek . we hired a guide and a porter , who took a lot of work out of our hands . The Langtang Trek was very beautiful and our guide had a lot of hummer . He made a new plan when one of us had an injury (ankle) , which was very nice . He told us about local traditional , mountain , animals ,history and local alcohol .
Our porter was never tired , he walked from our endpoint back to carry our other bags .
In short , amazing trip , good organisation .
